Editorial Review for McElroy's Irish Pub – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
It can still get overrun on weekends at this affable Shepherd Plaza watering hole, when the on-the-go, 20-something crowd gets elbow-to-elbow inside and spills over to the "beer garden" patio in the back. At its heart, however, McElroy's is a proper upscale pub, with dark wood trim, deep-green walls and striking, red leather banquettes recycled from the historic Rice Hotel.

I like I-Pubs and found this one here looking for some in the River O' area. The beer is cold, their Newcastle is flowing constantly. The staff is nice and the place is good size. The air is smoky but what pub is not smoky? (FYI: Boston pubs are smoke free enviroments). They don't have a kitchen so eat before you get there. :)
Pros: Good Service, Cold Beer
Cons: Parking's hard 2 find

Nothing compares to McElroy's. It has everything you need to fill your Irish pub needs: great Guiness, wonderful staff, and comfortable atmosphere. Whenever I want these things, McElroy's is the only place I go.
Pros: Staff, Beer Selection, Ambience
