Editorial Review for Chabuca's Steaks and Rotisserie – by Joshua Hinsdale
In Short
From the outside, Chabuca's resembles a stately South American ranch house, complete with stone facade and bubbling fountain. Meals can be ordered a la carte or diners can choose the rodizio, which includes a salad bar and all-you-can-eat grilled meats, which are brought to the table for display and selection. Choices include beef, chicken, pork, shrimp and turkey. Also available are salads, Spanish-style tapas and desserts, including a Brazilian chocolate cake and a coconut flan.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoDiners that order the rodizio will receive a chip that is red on one side, green on the other. Turn the chip to green if you want more meat, flip it to red when you're taking a break or throwing in the towel.
What to DrinkFeeling exotic? Order a Brazilian Flag, a flaming concoction of white and green creme de menthe, pineapple juice and rum.

I work in the League City area and am always looking for new lunch spots, so when I finally decided to try this place after driving by several times I was pleasantly suprised! The lunch buffet is served unti 4pm , and what a nice spread it is... The salad selection was exceptional, and the varity of items on the main buffet made for some hard choices, but I stuck with the redfish, crab rolls, and even tried the ribs. I did leave a little room for the great fruit and dessert items to finish me off.... So for $8.95 for a great lunch, I ave to give Chabucas 2 thunbs up!
Pros: HUGE Buffet,Low Prices

We went to Chabuca's for their Father's Day breakfast buffet. They raised the price another $4.00 from the normal listed price so it was $12.95 per person which is a little high for breakfast. Any way, we get there and the buffet is pretty small. The line is long and you have to wait a long time to get to the food. Once you get there the selection wasn't all that great and things didn't look very fresh. The hasbrowns tasted like old paste and I swear couldn't have even been potatoes. The eggs weren't that great either and the biscuits were hard and dry. Most of the food tasted old or like nothing. The fruit wasn't ripe and the only thing that was really edible was the waffles. Over all I really didn't eat any thing and my husband had as little as possible. Once he finished the first plate he said it wasn't worth the effort to stand in line to get any thing else. We brought my mom and dad as well so we spent $75.00 for 4 people to have breakfast. We could have gone to Denny's for half that and been a lot happier. I took the time to talk to the owner about our experience after we paid for the bill. He was rude and became belligerent. He was acting like we couldn't have possibly not liked the food and we were lying. He started questioning my husband who wasn't even part of the conversation. We will NEVER go back here again for any meal and I would advise any one to save their time and money.
Pros: It was close to our home
Cons: Just about every thing
